Auto-Append Feature

Auto-append allows administrators to define the behavior of a document that is saved a second time. Options include adding it to the existing document or replacing it. Once configured in the Solution Designer, users will be informed, when typing the index data, that the document already exits and what will be done. If required, the user can override the default auto-append setting.

Enhanced Security

Blocked Extensions
For security reasons it may be desirable to block certain file types (e.g. html) from being saved into Therefore™. This can be easily done via the Advanced settings dialog.

Permissions on index fields
It is possible to set permissions using index fields. For example, a certain index field can be set as read-only which will prevent any user changing the data. In addition it is possible to set index field permissions for a specific manual workflow task. For example a read-only field can be given change rights for a certain step in the workflow.

Enhanced Navigator functionality

Undo document check-out
Users with Category Operator right can undo document check-outs. For example if an employee has gone on holiday and has forgotten to check a document back in.

Drag & drop saving
Users can now save documents to Therefore™ by dragging and dropping documents from Windows® Explorer onto a category in the Navigator tree-view. In addition a date picker has been added to make entering dates easier.

Enhanced Viewer functionality

Scanning & Thumbnail Pane
The insert position of pages scanned with the Viewer can now be defined, the thumbnail pane supports mouse wheel scrolling

Viewing settings
The application that will be used for viewing different types of documents can now  centrally configured in the Solution Designer.

Enhanced Web Access functionality

Therefore™ Web Access has been further enhanced to bring its feature set and usuability more into line with that provided by the standard Navigator and Viewer applications. 

Therefore™ MFP Application 3.2

Supports auto-append, permissions on index fields and the new Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030/2025/2020.

Support for Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010

The Therefore™ 2010 R2 connector for SharePoint now also supports Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

In addition Japanese, simplified Chinese and Korean have been added to the UI languages (Client applications & Solution Designer)
