Manual Uploading of eSignature Documents

How do I manually upload documents via the Therefore™ Viewer for E-signing?

1.Open a document to be signed (e.g. via the Therefore™ Navigator) so that it opens in the Therefore™ Viewer.

2.Click on the 'Settings' option in the Signature section under the 'Home' tab.

3.In the eSignature Settings dialog, select the eSignature provider from the drop-down list, enter Username, Password / API key and then check the 'Convert to PDF' box (if necessary).

•The administrator will first need to configure providers in the Therefore™ Solution Designer; the list of (configured) providers will then be shown in the drop down-list field of the 'eSignature Settings' dialog.

•The YouSign API key is needed again because the file upload is implemented via their API, which doesn’t support authentication with Username and Password. This is necessary because the credentials set in the Therefore™ Solution Designer are never used from the Therefore™ Viewer.

4.A web application will open into the user's eSignature account, an uploaded version of the document to the provider will be shown in the web application. The user will need to set recipient(s) (and can select from other miscellaneous settings) before they send it (to the selected recipients) for signing.

Following dispatch of the document, the web application remains open with YouSign and SimpleSign until the user closes it manually, with DocuSign it closes automatically.

•With YouSign and SimpleSign, there is no automatic method to login directly via the web application; a separate login to the web application is required where the user will be required to re-enter their account credentials.

•The example of the web application (above) opening is from DocuSign; the same process will occur for both SimpleSign and YouSign.

How do I download a signed document into Therefore™?

1.Open the document (that was originally uploaded for signing) from Therefore™ so that it opens in the Therefore™ Viewer.

2.Click on the 'Status' option in the Signature section under the 'Home' tab.

3.The list in the 'Signature Status' dialog will show the documents that have already been uploaded for signing. The 'Download' button will be enable the document to be downloaded once it has been signed.

•Clicking the 'Download' button when a document has not yet been signed yet or when it has already been downloaded, will result in an error message.

•The 'Download' button will pop-up a list of indexing profiles of the “Signed Document” type to choose from. This indexing profile will be used for saving the signed document.

•Click the View... button to open the document in the providers’ web application (without downloading it).
